1st team thrash LUC at home

As Grasshopper Club Zurich took to the pitch on Sunday, titillation gripped their adoring fans. LUC rugby was in town and looking for blood. The host of Grasshoppers took to the field fallowing their Fearless leader Jack Zhoul. The game began with a bang, two quick tries right out of the gates for the Grasshoppers club 12-0 in the first 20 minutes of the game. The audience was veracious in their plead for more of this ingenuity of play. However, the cohorts of LUC mounted an incursion to win back the hopes of triumph. Oh, but the hearts of the Grasshopper Legion were steady and true, but loss struck hard at the companies back line as the major “Dick of the Day” (Jess Roberson) was yellow carded for a high tackle. This came after Two more exemplary tries by the high-flying Grasshoppers. The yellow card however, gave LUC the key to score its second try right before the half time whistle.

Seemingly untouched by the last two minutes of the first half, the Grasshoppers came out with unified resolve. Heeding the well placed half time consolations of Head Coach Alex Lastname, the squad proceeded to display a machine-like defense. Capitan Jack held down the ramparts of the G-hops as the rotations were made. The second half reinforcements came in like the Grand-Ol-U-S-of-A, kicking ass and staking claim to the try-zone. This forced LUC to play inside their own half most of the second half. With 20 minutes left in the game accomplished lose forward Sylvain went down with a serious knee injury, causing great distress to the team. With no more replacement forwards on the bench, on-field positional changes were made. Prompting Alex Lastname to join the troops in battle. The combination of both the forward pack and the back troop scoring tries were topped off with a blistering try by none other than, Coach Alex Lastname. It was a wonderful way to end the game for the Zurich Grasshopper club on a magnificent Sunday afternoon.

The Top Try scorers were: the speedy winger Ivan Richmon and stellar prop Ekim Saraclar, both scored two tries. For the forwards Lock Felix dotted a try down. For the backs Capitan Jack Zhoul, Huge Imbetadenu, Dick of the Day, and Louis Reyes all showed their desire to sparkle with tries. Alex Lastname also showed with his under-the-post try that his coaching isn’t just talk. Winger Imbetadenu and fullback JB converted all but two extra points despite windy conditions. This left the final score at 66-12. Swiss man-of-match went to Timmy Haircuts who remained neutral in this game, despite having a nice role in the grass with his brother. Our hats are off to LUC for greats sportsmanship and a fun game.
